Since 2010, members of THOR (Tsing-Hua Open Pool Reacher Reactor) start to collaborate with the medical group of Taipei Veterans General Hospital for clinical BNCT use in Taiwan. Up to now (April 2021), near 200 patients, including clinical trials and compassionate use, underwent BNCT for salvage purpose. Most of them were recurrent brain tumor and recurrent head & neck cancer cases. We also received several global patients and the treatment outcomes of them were satisfied. We hope BNCT in Taiwan can become a standard cancer treatment soon in the near future.
