Abstract: BNCT is a technique for the treatment of solid tumors. BNCT is considered a binary technique because it involves two components that exert little or no action individually but induce a significant effect when they combine. BNCT is based on the combination of neutron irradiation and the administration of 10 B compounds that are incorporated selectively by tumor tissue via different mechanisms, depending on the boron carrier.
